Welcome to PG100

Howdy and welcome to PG100 - currently following the Peter Gabriel Tour 2023 - once again. Other than that this is just yet another website featuring an old dudes' attempt to publish all the concerts he's been clever, foolish and/or thirsty enough to go to in his life, realized with basically no effort, neither care or even empathy and - most importantly - in no time.

Maps Setup

Maps are setup by venues. Lots of stuff I still have to search for, find and add if time permits (Yes, I still do other things in life ;). To learn more about what happened at each venue click any - in worst case you'll get gig(s) infos, ticket stub(s) and links to venue website & Wiki. In best case you'll get more infos, pictures of all kinds and possibly a few hints on what best to do when hitting that venue for a concert.

Maps Navigation

I can tell you're exploring PG100 on a large(r) screen - scrolling this page up and down should not be a problem for you. Clicking on the U.S.A. or Canada is not recommended though as you'll end up in nothing but haystacks and roadkill territory but feel free to do so anyway .. then you'll know what I mean. After getting lost use to reset the map to its initial view. If all fails I do recommend staying calm and another cuppa PG Tips.
I can tell you're exploring PG100 on a somewhat small(er) screen or tablet - scrolling this page up and down can be a bit tricky. Make sure to scroll/touch only to the left and right of and in between the (touch) sensitive maps. PG100 Live Travel Log

Important, not important, old, new, ugly places, nice places, trains on time (and not), good food, bad food, yummy beers, flat beers, possibly human beings and yes – the PG100 Instagram Feed will also feature SPOILERS around cultural events I might attend in the future. For more updates I do also recommend the new PG100 LIVE Page.

Peter Gabriel Map

Wednesday, December 13th, 1978 riding my bike to Frankfurt/Höchst to only see my overall 3rd lifetime concert. Lights go out, crowd going nuts but .. nothing was happening on the stage until everybody realizing that the band was coming down thru the seats from the back towards the stage with flashlights on with a hyper energized PG stumbling right through our row and over me. Thought: this is frickin’ cool!

Seriously addicted to Arc of a Diver back in 1980 and facing knee surgery and lifetime first general anesthetic, therefore, probable death (!) Scared like hell but surpringsly waking up again and first dizzy action realizing survival: Press Button on my beloved ITT Cassette Machine for While you see a Chance (!)  I like this map … only few but exceptionally nice locations (except Offenbach).

Small but very much beloved map. Early 1984 a good buddy of mine said: “Hey .. you might like this .. it sounds like Genesis, hardly anybody knows about this yet” (!) So off we went on Monday, May 7th, 1984  just to enjoy a sold out spectacular and brilliant Marillion Gig! Only like Marillion with Fish and – of course – Fish solo.

No way around Billy Joel though I’m still pissed off about the last one in Frankfurt because of the most miserable sound ever. An unforgettable first gig 1979, 1994 also stands out in boiling hot Frankfurt Festhalle with the gig being broadcasted live on German TV and the stadium stuff with Elton John was great fun too!
